My favourite food are pies, so what is not to like when celebrating or commemorating the intriguing concept of π (pi)?
There is no particular reason as to why we celebrate this except that math is cool, pies are cool, puns are cool, and combined makes it all the more awesome.
Oh, and we celebrate π today because it is March 14th (3.14...)

Love this, too funny! I like pies but only the ones I can eat - I've always been rubbish at maths ;-)
Haha, I know.. I am still baffled that I did really good at B level Math in high school!
But I like the result oriented feel to math and how so many complex things can be transcribed in just a few mumbers and signs.
