Tea cures everything

At least I hope so because I have a serious cold and I hate being ill... I'm like a man in that way, I always think I'm dying when I'm ill. So my only upside right now is gallons and gallons of tea in various flavours and designs. Yes, I am a sucker for pretty packaging.
 I prefer my tea so hot it almost scolds my tongue... Best thing on winter days.
 Usually, I dress up my black teas with honey and milk, other teas I take au naturel.

And with a madeleine it is always a tad nicer to have tea. Just a little something on the side...

{Soothing Rain}

{favourite GIF yet}

I am just sitting and listening to the rain falling on my windows. A soothing sound and the rythm calms me.
All that misses is a nice cup of tea, heavy on the cream and sugar. Just because it is a Wednesday in January.

I am also looking forward to the start of season two of Downton Abbey on Sunday. Even though, I know that one of the characters die, and I will once again be flooded with tears (it was my favourite!), I will still watch it. Rumour has it that there's a third season in the making - hurray!

Actually, I want to read but not anything for exams. Pleasure reading. However, I fear that then I will never be done with the stuff for the exams and there's just a fortnight until due date for my paper. I have to suck it up until then. At least I am to read David Copperfield and Great Expectations for next semester. Knowing this helps to overcome the exam melancholia.
Are you reading anything good?

Fall Feeling

These past few days have experienced the coming of fall and as lovely it may be with the warm and rich colours, as cold and sorrowful it can be at the thought of the barreness to come.

In order to fight the angst striking, I went to one of the best bakeries in Aarhus to prevent my flight-wish, namely the Aarhus-originated Emmery's. And the perfect indulgence for this was their Madeleines with orange zest and white chocolate. Perfectly moist and almost melting on your tongue.. Perfect bite.
In addition, they make the most delicious Italien-inspired breads and they have cafés as well in all of their bakeries here in Aarhus.

The first bakery opened down at Guldsmedsgade at the Latin Quarters, but there are also one in Magasin du Nord, and on the corner of M.P. Bruunsgade and Brammersgade. {The last one is on the photo}
The prizes are somewhat higher than a traditional bakery, however I do find that if you are in want of the perfect bread for a date dinner or just for self-indulgence {like me..} this would be the place to go.

As you can see, I was really in the spirit of fall and winter {Truth be told, I actually waited anticipantly for the weather to cool off so I could drink my Winter Teas from Pickwick!} The Madeleines also come in a variant with dark chocolate and nuts, and the prize is one for 10 DKr, and three for 20 DKr [circa £2].

What are your fall or autumn treats?
